Safeguarding Policy

REF’s Safeguarding Policy outlines our commitment to protecting children and adults at risk from abuse, exploitation, and harm. It explains the standards of behavior expected from everyone working with REF, how safeguarding concerns can be reported, and the steps we take to ensure safety, dignity, and accountability in all our work.

Data Protection & Privacy Policy

REF’s Data Protection Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information. It outlines individuals’ rights regarding their data and our commitment to confidentiality, transparency, and responsible data handling.

Reporting Process

  • REF has zero tolerance for abuse, exploitation, or harm.

    If you or someone else feels unsafe, has been mistreated, or has concerns about the behavior of REF staff, volunteers, partners, or caseworkers, you can report it safely and confidentially.

    You can report a concern by contacting our Safeguarding Focal Point:

    Reports can be made by anyone, including clients, community members, staff, or partners. You do not need proof to raise a concern.

    REF will:

    • Take concerns seriously

    • Prioritize safety and confidentiality

    • Handle reports sensitively and without retaliation

    Raising a concern will not affect your access to REF services or support.

  • If you believe your personal information has been misused, shared without permission, lost, or accessed improperly, you have the right to raise a concern.

    • Access your personal data

    • Request corrections or updates

    • Request deletion of your data, where possible

    REF will review your request and respond in a timely and confidential manner.

    Raising a concern will not affect your access to REF services or support.
